Trip from Europe to the South Coast
Many airlines (Swiss, SA, etc) have daily direct flights to Johannesburg. Most of them are night flights with a morning landing time in Johannesburg.
From there you can either fly to Durban (1 hour) or fly to Margate airport with Cemair every second day. Margate airport is located a 15 minutes drive away from Southbroom.

Margate airport offers car rental possibilities with Avis, Europcar and Budget. Durban airports offers eventually more companies you may choose from. The drive from Shaka Airport - Durban takes about 1.5 hours.
Eating out
For European travelers, the costs of living are more than attractive. A dinner for two with first course, main course, desert, wine will cost you at an upscale restaurant between CHF 50 to CHF 70 max. A seafood meal for two at the beach may cost you incl. wine CHF 25 to CHF 30.
